Was developed over three years and a $27M investment
- Uses a “carrier's carrier” as its hub with a robust 100% private IP network that is registered in all 50 states and throughout Canada as a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC)
- Services over 98% of all Local Access Transport Areas (LATA's)
- Was designed using a “hub centric” topology consisting of four (4) “super-pops” strategically located across the country. These “super-pops” will be the hub for numerous additional “spokes” as traffic continues to increase, and as customer demand dictates
- Currently, can accommodate several billion minutes per month of voice traffic, and is structured to handle any potential volume in the future simply by adding equipment as required. Even though all traffic is 100% delivered via IP, the framework is built as a telephone company to ensure it is robust enough to accommodate future traffic levels with guaranteed availability made possible by high levels of redundancy
- Security is tightly controlled and constantly monitored
- Directly connects existing customer premise equipment with the secure C3IP private network via whatever communications is required to support the traffic thus eliminating the need to send any communications via the public Internet
- Provides a guaranteed/measurable Quality of Service supported by Service Level Agreements
- Eliminates the initial requirements of potentially expensive IP based communication systems
- Provides Subscriber End Point Control that provides the necessary instructions to the customer premise equipment. This also provides a dial tone to the client as well as additional features such as call waiting, call forwarding, and voice mail
- Provides a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) interconnection. Until VoIP exists in most companies, most calls will still need to traverse the legacy PSTN at some point. C3IP provides economical, reliable, and optimized connectivity to the PSTN, including Local Number Portability (LNP), Long-Haul Transport, and Origination/Termination services. This allows C3IP Communications to deliver information VoIP to VoIP, VoIP to standard Time Division Multiplexing (TDM), and TDM to TDM
- Provides for directory services, emergency 911 services, and federal wire tap requirements
- Provides new Direct Inward Dial (DID) numbers and 800 numbers, and can port existing numbers
- Provides for a variety of customer management services including subscriber self-provisioning, on-line queries and network monitoring, administrative access, event billing, and electronic invoicing.
